Last night at The Winston Kingdom, Amsterdam, I stood behind the decks once again for the 13th edition of the infamous Euro Song Travestival. The house was packed and everyone agreed that this year was the best ever, with very strong voices, some surprising newcomers, and a performance of Conchita‘s Rise Like A Phoenix featuring “special effects” that had everyone absolutely in stitches. The real Eurovision Song Contest is 60 years old this year so I thought I’d gather all my Eurovision-related mixes together (except Euphoria, which is available from my Legitmix page) for a timely give-away. I have been a little cheeky by including my ABBA-Blondie mash-up, but then again: Ring Ring WAS ABBA‘s first attempt, even if it didn’t make it through the Swedish pre-selection in 1973. Countries represented in my give-away are The Netherlands, Israel, Sweden, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Serbia & Montenegro, and the United Kingdom.
