Matt Pop mixes for Sinitta

There is already considerable buzz surrounding Sinitta‘s upcoming single So Many Men, which is a cover of one of her mother Miquel Brown‘s biggest hits ofcourse. It HAS been a long time since Sinitta last released new recordings, and the fact that this undisputed classic will be her comeback single has some of you salivating, and others as nervous as virgins at a prison rodeo (thanks for that one, Blanche Deveraux). To me, it makes perfect sense that she chose this track. Sinitta‘s biggest hits include titles like Toy Boy and So Macho, so continuing this theme of tongue-in-cheeck naughtiness with So Many Men – a song originally made famous by her own mother! – is nothing less than a stroke of genius in my book. Now, whether you will like this new version remains to be seen ofcourse, but my totally unbiased opinion (after producing a radio mix and a club mix of it) is that it’s fun, fresh and funky The vocals are excellent, too; Sinitta‘s voice, like the lovely lady herself, hasn’t aged a bit, and she has added some fun new spoken parts that gave me a nice chuckle when I first heard them. It also features a cool rap section that gives the song an added edge. All in all, a great summer record then. You will hopefully be able to make up your own mind when it is released, some time very soon! Sinitta and Miquel Brown
