Mai Tai

The single Coconut Woman by Make-Over, produced by Matt Pop, came out earlier this spring and has since been picked up by 70 (internet) radio stations around the world. Wathc the lyrics video here:  http://youtu.be/P_iCvv0vY1c  I can reveal now that the voice on that record was in fact Jetty Weels,  from legendary Dutch girl trio Mai Tai, who scored international hits with History, Am I Losing You Forever, What Goes On and more. Mai Tai will appear at this weekend’s Gay Pride closing party in Amsterdam and Jetty will perform Coconut Woman live there for the very first time, with her two Mai Tai friends as backup singers! So for some soul and dance classics by Holland’s answer to the Three Degrees, head over to Rembrandplein this Sunday afternoon, August 4. http://www.amsterdamgaypride.nl/gayguide/pride-closing-party.html
