An update on the 3 mixes that Matt Pop has done of one of last year’s best pop/dance albums Glamazon by RuPaul: these mixes are now scheduled for release summer 2012 (no exact date yet) and they should tie in nicely with Ru‘s new tv show. Peter Wilson‘s new single Broken Man was released yesterday and is starting to chart all over the place! Number 27 on i-Tunes Australia’s new releases chart, 44 in Sweden, 37 in Greece and 29 in Finland – and that’s just on its first day! Broken Man is out now with mixes by Pete Hammond, Matt Pop and Sleazesisters. The physical cd single, with exclusive hidden track, is available from www.energiserecords.com.

You’ve done it: one million fingers have clicked on a Matt Pop video on YouTube. (Well, actually it’s a damn site more if you add my former accounts that got axed and all the Matt Mixes posted by others.) So, a little celebration is in order! Some of you have been paying attention to my discography and asking why the Matt Pop mixes of Daddy Cool by the incomparable Unit-911 have not been released yet. The reason is a pretty sad one. Unit-911, or Alph to his friends, was in a very bad car accident last year, just before shooting of the Daddy Cool video was supposed to take place. He suffered serious injuries and has been recovering ever since. The good news is, he’s is out and about again and – this will be of special interest to some of you – back to the gym! So naturally, his work schedule has been seriously re-arranged but he told me he is picking up where he left off last year very soon. As always, you will find updates on the release right here!
