What’s Matt Pop up to?

Just back from a short trip to Norway, and it’s back to the studio straight away for Matt Pop. Currently busy on productions for Almighty and the one and only Hazell Dean, plus remixes for Peter Wilson‘s next single. Also, Matt has produced a fantastic dance track for up and coming artist Mark Tara, called Number One. Hopefully that title will prove an indication of its future success 🙂 For more news and release dates, keep checking this space!

RuPaul: Responsitrannity

Matt Pop has done a slew of new mixes for the fabulousness that is RuPaul. The first of these is the excellent Responsitrannity, one of the many stand-out tracks on Ru‘ s 2011 album Glamazon. Responsitrannity – The Remixes will be released digitally on September 18, 2012. Check out the audio clips now: http://amzn.com/B00994MGSC

New Matt Pop mixes for Peter Wilson

Peter Wilson’s next single will be the title track of his most succesfull album to date, Laser Light. Written by Matt Pop and Peter Wilson and produced by Matt, this ultra-catchy piece of electro-pop will be released with some new remixes soon. Almighty have been confirmed on remix duty, and there is already a snippet of Matt Pop’s Love, Light & Lasers Club Mix on YouTube: http://youtu.be/3w2QijNN7yk

But…Matt has also done 2 totally different club mixes of that other fan favourite When Love Is Said And Done (a classic extended album mix and a darker, more modern sounding mix) so Pete may have some plans for those as well….

One of the questions put to Matt Pop in the recent Q & A by members of the Matt Pop Fan Group on Facebook, was if artists ever respond to their music being remixed by Matt. The answer was yes, and here is a very nice recent example, as the singer from Dutch 80’s New Wave band Media leaves a comment on Matt‘s YouTube upload:          “Hello… this is rob van zomeren the singer of the band,,i wish to convey my deepest gratitude for placing this song on youtube,, thank you Matt pop for this wonderful remix,, all i ever wanted was for the music to be heard so it could be a part of peoples life” http://youtu.be/zFNs2naCKNU
