Almighty Records have just released the double cd “We Love Stock Aitken Waterman”, that features two Matt Pop Club Mixes! One is “He Ain’t No Competition”, a cover of the Brother Beyond hit, performed by the Almighty Boys, with a great, soulful vocal and a Hi-NRG retro sound. The other is “That’s What Love Can Do”, originally a hit for girl group Boy Krazy, now performed by The Almighty Showgirls. This track is also available on CD-R and as a seperate download, with mixes by Matt Pop, Almighty and Love To Infinity. The Matt Pop Mixes have a sparkly, mid-tempo pop sound. As the release date of Intoxicated, the single by Matt Pop and singer Peter Wilson, is coming closer, Peter Wilson’s album “Stereo” is starting to come together, too – in a big way. It will feature 5 collaborations with Matt Pop. One of them is a cover of a little known gem by Bonnie Tyler – a true pop anthem! Furthermore, the album will feature two tracks written and produced by Dave Ford and Ian Curnow, a new song written by Mike Stock (of Stock, Aitken & Waterman fame) and a track produced by Pete Hammond! Yep, everyone who has ever walked through the door of PWL’s Hit Factory is on this album 🙂
