Finally, the excellent,  formerly Asia-only dance album Club Anthems Asia has arrived for all to buy on i-Tunes! Not only does it feature the stunning original Pete Hammond mix of Change Your Life by Hollywood Road (a track that was later remixed by Matt Pop) but also Kitty Fung‘s debut single “Bad For You” in Matt Pop’s Cherry Pop Club Mix.  Kitty is a gorgeous, innocent-or-is-she pop princess, and the song – written especially for her by the very talented Evan Steer – is funny, glam, trashy, and very tongue in cheeck. And she says “Matt Pop” a couple of times times 🙂

I am very proud to announce that their will be a Matt Pop club mix for up-and-coming singer/songwriter Matt Fishel. This highly talented young man surprised the music community with his touching, original and funny breakthrough track “Football Song“,  just over a year ago. The video, dealing with cliché’s of masculinity seen through the eyes of a young gay man, has had many thousands of views on YouTube. Matt is now working on new songs, and one of these – a stunning track with beautiful vocal harmonies, dealing with the bitter-sweet memories of a first love – has just been turned into a high-energy stormer by Matt Pop. Not only will it make you dance, but quite possibly it will make you go all misty-eyed as well….Release is expected around August 2011.

Last year,  Hong Kong’s finest La Chiquitta released the moving and deeply personal chanson “Tranny In The House“.  Matt Pop delivered a banging, uplifting house mix for it. It was released on a strictly limited cd-single at the time, and copies are now selling on Ebay for astronomical figures – probably. So, to quench your thirst for this highly desirable recording, the record company have finally put the thing on i-Tunes!  Although apparently, it is still not available on i-Tunes in the United States – heavens knows why. So if you are in the US, and feel the need to dance to lyrics such as “if you want it hot and heavy, call the Tranny when you’re ready”, just call that mate in the UK or Mexico, tell them to download it from i-Tunes for you and you can send them a dollar in the post – easy!
