In the summer of 1978, Dutch group the Tee-Set, who had enjoyed international success with their singles She Likes Weeds and Ma Belle Amie, recorded  “Linda Linda“.

It resulted in eight weeks in the Dutch Top 40, reaching a peak of 20. In Turkey, “Linda Linda” reached number one and remained in the Top 20 for months. The track has since become a classic, covered by several bands.
